DIY Headboard

Our bedroom hasn't received very much attention since we moved into our house, other than the purple paint job I did years ago. So for my birthday (which was in January) Jeremy promised to build me a headboard. We have been slowing gathering the essential parts, (fabric, foam, batting, ply wood, staples, wood to attach to the wall, etc...) and we finally had all the pieces we needed!Calvin had a great time jumping on the king size bed (who needs a bouncy house?) for entertainment while Mom & Dad worked on putting up the headboard.He got so hot and sweaty we had to remove his shirt, lol. Just like his daddy!

Jeremy even installed sconces, too!

Finished product, our bedroom feels a little like a hotel now!

"Hello" Office!

I said "Good-bye" to my desk at UAF Human Resources today.And "Hello" to my new office at Interior-Aleutians Campus.I've never had an office before so I can't wait to get settled into my new work home on Monday!

Intermural hockey

Calvin and I were able to attend one of Jeremy's intermural hockey games at the UAF Patty Center. Calvin didn't do much watching but loved all the open space drive his matchbox car.Unfortunatley all the games are very late at night so it was nearly midnight when we got out of there. Calvin was pretty tired by the end of the night!

Calvin came to find me in the other room so he could show off his three clown towers, sorted by color even. He was so proud of them that he actually posed for this picture.

My boss is moving from North Pole to Fairbanks and keeps finding all kinds of goodies for Calvin! She brought me a huge pad of jumbo paper the other day! Thanks Jennifer!
